Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs took to Twitter to deny rumors that he and rapper J.Cole got into a heated physical altercation at a MTV Video Music Awards after party.

A report from the NY Daily News claimed that someone was dancing too close to Diddy and his girlfriend, Cassie, and that’s when mayhem ensued. Beyonce was reportedly yelling, and Jay-Z stepped in to protect her.

“Diddy got in a fight with someone partying too close to him and his girlfriend,” a source said. “It was mayhem. Beyoncé was yelling to stop and Jay Z was separating people and getting people away from Bey.”

An onlooker claimed it erupted at around 1:30am, saying “We were all dancing and the fight breaks out, and it happened so quickly and bottles were crashing everywhere, and everyone was screaming. People got pushed into bottles. Then Diddy got up, took the mic and said ‘It’s all cool! Ya’ll keep having fun! It’s no big deal, it’s over.’ ”

Vibe reports it involved J. Cole, and after the fight, he got escorted out. However, Diddy has taken to Twitter to deny these rumors, writing:
