Rapper DMX has been arrested again. He was pulled over in South Carolina when the driver of the car he was in made an illegal lane change but cops later found marijuana in the car. However, he claims innocence, saying the traffic move was legal and he was set up.
According to the police report, the Ruff Ryder rapper was "very aggressive with his words and was making multiple idle threats." He screamed out that he was being set up, and it was all caught on video by his friend. Cops also say he smelled like alcohol.
"This ain't no normal traffic stop. 18 cops, 5 cars, get the f**k outta here man,” he yells in the video, TMZ reports. He added, “It was legal ... they got nothing.”
DMX was a passenger in the vehicle but cops recognized him and knew he had a warrant out for his arrest. They spotted a bag of marijuana on the passenger side door, where he was sitting and they proceeded to search the car and found three more bags of the drug under the floor board of the driver’s side.
According to Perez Hilton, the rapper was so overwhelmed during the rest that he suffered an asthma attack and paramedics had to come assist him.
Both the driver and DMX were arrested and taken to a Greer County, South Carolina jail. He will face a judge today and is expected to spend about 10 days in jail.
