NCIS: Los Angeles actor Eric Christian Olsen and wife Sarah Wright have welcomed their first child Friday, August 16.
Olsen and Wright welcomed a son, Wyatt Oliver, at 7:45 pm weighing 9 pounds 8 ounces, People reports. The couple gushed about their newest addition to People saying, “I’ve been a part of some pretty incredible experiences in my life, but I’ve never been a part of something so surreal, so life affirming and so insanely beautiful as watching my son come into this world…It was this watershed moment where I knew that everything I valued before seems finite and temporary.”
Olsen went on to explain that his wife, who is also an actress, opted to go for a natural, at home birth. “She fought through 17 hours of intense labor before we finally got to meet Wyatt,” Olsen says. “I can only take stock in how lucky I am to have this amazing, powerful, woman in my life, and a beautiful new son.”
The couple announced they were expecting in April.
Wright’s credits include Parks and Recreation, 21 & Over and Mad Men.
