Gia Allemand, a contestant from season 14 of ABC’s The Bachelor, as well as two seasons of Bachelor Pad, has been hospitalized in critical condition.
TV Guide reports that Allemand was taken to University Hospital after “a serious emergency medical event” last night, according to a statement from ABC. No details were released about what the medical emergency was.
ABC added, “On behalf of the family, we kindly ask for privacy at this time.”
Allemand finished in third place on Jake Pavelka’s season of The Bachelor. Pavelka tweeted, “Please pray for @GiaAllemand… A dear friend and one of the sweetest women I know… #powerofprayer.”
Allemand, 29, found love outside of The Bachelor franchise with NBA player Ryan Anderson, who plays for the New Orleans pelicans. Anderson and Allemand’s mother have both been in the hospital with her throughout this ordeal.
Although not many details have been released on Allemand’s condition, many of her friends from The Bachelor and Bachelor Pad have been tweeting their support:
