Kate Gosselin, former star of TLC’s Jon and Kate Plus 8, is suing her ex-husband and father of her eight children, Jon Gosselin.
The reality star is suing her ex, alleging he stole personal belongings from her in order to help contribute to the tell-all book Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World, written by his friend Robert Hoffman.
The book was being sold on Amazon but has since been taken down from the website after she filed the lawsuit on Monday, Fox News reports. It has been pulled because of the contents being allegedly obtained illegally.
Kate is claiming her ex stole her hard drive and hacked into her phone in order to get material for Hoffman’s book.
According to RadarOnline, Kate filed the lawsuit in the United States District Court of Pennsylvania and claims after their separation, he “illegally hacked” into her bank accounts and computer.
Kate said Hoffman claimed he got the material by digging through her trash outside of her home. “This demonstrates his knowledge that the materials were obtained illegally, as it is a sign of an attempt to cover up his unlawful activities,” the lawsuit states.
She also claims her ex-husband and Hoffman “distorted the facts to make stories more salacious for the tabloids.”
The former couple divorced in 2009.
