At GH, Patrick told Morgan and Carly that Franco’s tumor was removed completely and his prognosis looked good. Morgan couldn’t wait to tell Kiki. Carly kept her mouth shut and instead encouraged him to do that. Then, Sam arrived and Carly told her that Franco made it through the surgery. Then, they hugged each other, excited that Danny would now get well because of Franco’s bone marrow. Carly then asked Patrick if she could see Franco. He said she could but warned her that he didn’t know what kind of shape Franco would wake up in. Later, Sam asked Patrick how soon Franco could be ready for the transplant, but Patrick had bad news. During the surgery, he found some suspicious cells that indicated that Franco might have cancer and transplanting those cells into Danny would only make him worse. Sam was devastated when Patrick encouraged her to continue her search for another donor in case Franco’s marrow wasn’t viable.
The votes were tallied at ELQ - in favor of AJ. Someone flipped. At first, Tracy thought it was Brook Lynn or Maya but then Alice admitted that she voted for AJ. Tracy reminded Alice of her promise to Luke to always side with her, but Alice said her decision came down to family and Luke isn’t family. Alice then called Tracy a bully for having the vote while Franco was in the hospital. Incensed, Tracy then went for Alice’s throat but Alice had her in a sleeper hold in seconds. Meanwhile, Kiki taunted Ava for her plan failing. Michael and Kiki hugged over AJ’s victory just as Morgan walked in. He then asked Michael to congratulate him on his engagement to Kiki before telling her that Franco had made it through the surgery. Later, Sonny called Morgan, demanding to see him and Morgan left to go see him. Then, AJ threw Tracy and Ava out, but not before Tracy warned him that the fight for ELQ wasn’t over and fired Alice. Then, AJ kissed Elizabeth and they made plans to celebrate.
Dr. Obrecht found Britt outside Kelly’s and warned her that people were plotting against her. Then, Sabrina walked up and asked Britt to introduce her to her friend. Britt pretended that she and Dr. Obrecht were just making small talk and that she’d never seen her before. Sabrina hoped Britt was drinking decaf for the sake of the baby and then left. Obrecht was impressed that Sabrina acknowledged her existence and knocked Britt’s manners. Obrecht then went on about Sabrina’s simple beauty, although she couldn’t compare to Britt even thought she looked fat. Then, Britt got upset and Obrecht urged her to calm down and sit, and criticized her again for looking even fatter when sitting. Obrecht then said that she thought that Britt was being outdone by amateurs and that she taught her better than that. Britt then replied that she was ready to cut her losses and tell Patrick the truth. Obrecht then accuses her of falling for her new Prince Charming, aka Nikolas, when they were huffing and puffing together in Lamaze. Britt insisted they were just friends with nothing romantic going on because he was still hung up on Elizabeth. Britt then taunted Obrecht for not getting the man she loved. Then, Britt said that Patrick would be more interested in the baby than either Obrecht or her father had been in her. Obrecht then slapped Britt across the face and wasn’t sorry about it, even if Britt was right. Britt was shocked at this admission as Obrecht said that she wanted her to succeed where she had failed, but if Britt didn’t love Patrick anymore, there was no point going forward. Britt said that she did still love him, but that it was hard loving someone who didn’t love you back. Then, Britt admitted that the baby really isn’t Patrick’s.
Inside Kelly’s, Felix told Sabrina that Brad had confirmed that Britt and her mother have been hiding something about the baby. Sabrina told Felix that she thought she just saw Britt’s mom, told him about their encounter outside and how there was definitely a creepy resemblance. “But what would she have to do with this?” Sabrina asked Felix, who told her about Britt’s joke that her mom holds people hostage and does experiments on them. Sabrina questioned whether it was a joke.
At Sonny’s, Connie complained to him that she needed a big, sexy story by the end of next week to save the paper and Crimson. She told him that she planned to follow up with Michael about the rumored trouble at ELQ. Later, Sonny didn’t believe Morgan’s explanation of love for Kiki and why he was getting married so young. Is she pregnant? Is it the gambling? Morgan said it wasn’t any of those things then admitted that he would lose Kiki to Michael if he didn’t marry her.
Connie arrived at ELQ and Michael told her a takeover didn’t happen. Connie wondered if there was any dirt at all but Michael told her that the vote was confidential. She left disappointed and Michael offered to take Kiki to the hospital to see Franco. She wasn’t sure she could trust herself around him but agreed.
Franco woke up to find Carly in his room. She told him that she was glad he was alive and he reached out his hand to her.
At Kelly’s, Ava told Tracy that she’d heard good things about their BLTs. Tracy didn’t care about BLTs. She wanted to be CEO of ELQ and barring that she wanted some LSD so she could forget this nightmare PDQ. Ava then told her to buck up and wondered whose 5 percent they could steal. Tracy wanted Ava to get Kiki to vote with her. Ava said that she thought that would be a long shot considering the vote they just had while her father was having brain surgery. Tracy had been desperate to find Kiki but now she was the one who had ruined all of her plans. If only she wasn’t a Quartermaine, Tracy told Ava and wondered if there were any other candidates for Kiki’s dad but Ava said that she was positive that Kiki was a Quartermaine.
Connie went back to Sonny’s and overheard Morgan tell Sonny that Kiki is not a Quartermaine.
Lulu arrived at Crimson in time to save Maxie from her food cravings. Over Pickle-Lila and ice cream, Lulu asked Maxie what it was like having Spinelli as the baby's daddy. When Maxie recovers from the question, she told Lulu about the Lamaze class. Lulu then told Maxie how excited Spinelli was to hear they were having a girl and how she thought he was looking forward to being a father someday. Lulu then worried that something was wrong but Maxie claimed she was disappointed that Lulu had missed the Lamaze class. They were interrupted when Connie's new boss, Derrick Wells, invades Connie's office.
In the park, Obrecht tried to convince Britt that Patrick would fall in love with her when she had his baby. Then, Britt reminded her that they both knew that she wasn’t carrying Patrick's child. Her mother got angry as Britt got emotional about Patrick's disinterest and her guilt that the baby wasn’t his. Obrecht replied, "He'll never need to know that." She then wanted Britt to squash her feelings of doubt and guilt. Britt then said that she didn’t feel guilty about Patrick's feelings as much as she did for the feelings of the real father. Obrecht then warned her to keep her mouth shut and that no one, especially Patrick, could learn the truth.
Sabrina greeted Patrick at the door with a beer when he came home. He didn’t mind that she let herself in and kissed her upon hearing Emma was with Anna and Duke for the evening. Then, he discussed Franco's surgery and Sam's disappointment that Franco might have cancer thus making him unable to donate his bone marrow to Danny. He then told Sabrina that he related to Sam's worries and remembered that Emma could have been HIV positive when she came into the world. He then said that he would love his baby with Britt as much as he loved Emma. Sabrina said that she wasn’t bothered that Patrick felt that way and it was why she was with him, but she still thought Britt was hiding something. She then explained how Britt may be getting help from her mother to hide something about the baby from him. She wondered if Britt ever shared anything about her mother with him, bur Patrick said that he knew nothing about Britt’s mother.
Michael offered to wait with Kiki at GH, but she said that she'd rather he didn't. Then, he confessed that he couldn’t stay away from her. Then, he clarified that they had to find a way to make this work. She then accidentally referred to Morgan as Michael in conversation about the wedding. He gave her a pass since both of their names began with 'M' and then she asked if they could be friends. Michael wanted to know if she loved Morgan. She replied that she would learn to love him and that they had something before she and Michael met. He then wished her well and watched her leave to visit Franco.
Connie let herself in at Sonny's and overheard Morgan telling him that Michael and Kiki weren’t cousins. She then snuck outside when Maxie called her cell to alert her that her new boss was in her office. Inside, Morgan shared his desperation with Sonny to marry Kiki fast because she'd choose Michael over him if she knew they weren't cousins. He then pleaded with Sonny not to say anything but Sonny wouldn’t agree. He said that he wanted the truth to come out so Morgan and Kiki could be safe from Franco and so that Michael could have a fair shot with Kiki. Morgan then got upset that Sonny saw him as his kid and believed Michael got treated better despite his not being Sonny’s flesh and blood. Sonny replied that he didn’t care about flesh and blood and none of his kids was better than the other. Morgan wanted him to prove it by letting him marry Kiki and keeping his mouth shut about her not being a Quartermaine. He then added that he loved her and would be a good husband. Sonny agreed but hoped Morgan knew what he was doing.
Back at Crimson, Connie barged into her office where Derrick was making a list of staff that she could fire before firing herself. She then promised the ELQ story was huge due to recent developments. Outside her office, she promised Maxie that she wasn’t bluffing and left. Later, Derrick looked at a picture of Connie and Sonny on her desk and called someone to alert them he was in Port Charles.
At Kelly's, Felix picked up the tab for Spinelli's BLT to use his PI skills to get the low-down on Britt, but Spinelli said that Britt was already on his radar. Felix and Spinelli then exchanged notes on how they thought Brad got promoted over Ellie. Felix was certain it all had to do with the paternity of Britt's baby. Spinelli was eager to help and understood what he needed to do when Felix clued him in that Britt's mother was involved. Spinelli then offered to work for free. Then, Lulu and Maxie joined them and Felix announced that Spinelli was going to help solve Britt's baby mystery.
Later, Connie returned to Sonny's and was surprised he was giving Morgan his blessing to marry Kiki.
In the Quartermaine boat house, Morgan dreamt of Michael confronting him about Kiki not being his cousin. He woke up when Kiki slapped him for keeping the truth from her. She wanted to know what was wrong when he woke up with such a jolt. He claimed that he dreamt that she had called off the wedding. Then, he asked if she would do something like that. She said she wouldn't and thought he must be worried about his conversation with Sonny. He said he wasn’t and that Sonny had given them his blessing. Kiki was surprised. Morgan then laid out how he handled Sonny and that he confessed how much he loved her.
Michael was shocked at Carly's excitement over Franco being alive when he met her at Kelly's. She explained that she was excited because Franco was a match for Danny. He was happy to hear it, but wished it was someone else. Carly then got to her real reason for having breakfast with Michael and announced that Morgan was marrying Kiki. She said that she wanted him to talk some sense into Morgan. He said he already knew and couldn’t since Morgan thought he was interested in Kiki. Carly thought that was silly since their cousins but became concerned at Michael's unresponsiveness. He then told her what had happened between him and Kiki and how they thought the wedding would put distance between them. Carly believed it only added to the reasons for stopping the wedding as she remembered her mistake of marrying AJ when she was planning a life with Jason. If Michael couldn’t help her, she hoped Sonny could. Then, Morgan arrived with Kiki in time to tell her it was too late since Sonny had given them his blessing. Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Shawn and TJ talked about Alexis and Molly. TJ told Shawn that he asked Molly for another chance and Shawn told him that he and Alexis were over.
Sam paced around the waiting room at GH. Molly and Alexis tried to calm her down as she worried whether or not Franco could save Danny's life. She refused to rest and thanked Molly for her support before going to see Danny. Privately, Alexis comforted Molly when she breaks down crying. Alexis said that she wanted to know what was going on with her. She told her that she and TJ might be getting back together. Alexis asked why they broke up in the first place and Molly changed the subject and asks what was going on with her and Shawn. Alexis confessed that they wanted different things and was more interested in her and TJ. Meanwhile, Silas was gruff with Rafe Jr. when he interrupted him in the lab. Then, he decided Rafe Jr. could help and made small talk wondering if Molly was his girlfriend. Rafe Jr. said that he wished she were. Silas was then surprised to find himself offering advice on women to his nephew, who assumed that since Silas was a big shot doctor in NY, he must have had someone special in his life. Silas replied that there was someone once. Then, Sam joined them unable to wait any longer for the biopsy results. Silas told Rafe Jr. to go after what he wanted before he left them alone. Later, Rafe Jr. overheard Molly admitting to Alexis that she was giving TJ another chance. He then let them know that Sam was with Silas and Alexis left to be with her. Once they were alone, Rafe Jr. confesses to Molly that he was the one for her. Back in the lab, Sam interrupted continuously until Silas announced he had completed the final marker.
At Sonny's, Connie was too worried about Crimson to eat breakfast. Sonny admitted he would have loved to read a story of AJ's downfall but knew she'd find a new story soon. She said that she already had and outlined the voter fraud in the board room and Connie admitted she learned it at Sonny's the night before when she overheard Morgan and him talking. He warned her that she couldn’t print that story. She argued how wrong she thought keeping the secret was but knew he had to prove something to Morgan. She said that she understood and left. Later, Carly arrived upset that Sonny was supporting Morgan's decision to marry Kiki.
At Crimson, Maxie overheard Derrick on the phone telling someone that nobody knew what they were really up to. She retreated from his office with his coffee but he heard the door close. Then, he confronts Maxie at her desk for eavesdropping but she denied hearing anything. He then grabbed her by the arm and called her a liar. Then, Olivia stepped off the elevator and demanded that he get his hands off of her. He was unimpressed with Olivia's threats but promised not to mess with Maxie if she agreed to not listen in on other people's phone conversations. Once they were alone, Maxie told Olivia Connie's problems that she needed a hot story to save Crimson. Before going to the doctors Maxie apologized for helping Connie get back together with Sonny. Olivia didn’t want her to worry, and said she was okay. Later, Derrick was on the phone again telling someone that Maxie didn't hear anything when Connie showed up. He fired her when she apologized for not having a story for the paper.
At the Quartermaine's, Ava threw away the paper, upset about Kiki's ELQ vote. Then, Duke arrived and read about the ELQ drama. He sympathized that her plan went unrewarded. She joked at his implication that she was up to something more and got up to leave, but Duke grabbed her arm and told her that was sure that he knew who her real partners were and that he knew more about her than she thought. He then said that he suspected her silent partner may be a criminal and wanted the name but Ava replied that she was just an art dealer and played dumb. Duke shot back that he knew she would easily involve herself with a criminal just like any other member of the Jerome family, which he said he knew she was a part of. She denied being a part of that family and remarked that she was sorry for his sad past with the Jeromes but she wasn’t the enemy he wanted her to be.
At Crimson, Derrick handed Connie a box and advised her to share her grievances with Human Resources in her exit interview after she packed up her things. When he returns he found his briefcase in the box and wondered if he needed to call security. Connie recommended that he find another place to work from while he was in town. She refused to let everyone lose their job and said that she was going to stay where she was. Then, Connie reminded him she had until the end of the week to deliver and wanted the time she was owed or she'd introduce him to someone who had experience in collecting debts. He wondered if she meant Sonny. She saw he was informed of her personal life, including having knowledge of Kate. Derrick then inquired what a week would get him and Connie said she had a whopper of a story involving ELQ, but he wanted the story now but Connie said she was protecting her source. He then offered her an ultimatum to print the story now or would she lose everything. Later, Derrick's associate, Ava Jerome, arrived at Crimson for a private meeting. She greeted him by saying, "Hello Julian."
At Sonny's, Carly confronted him for giving Morgan and Kiki his blessing to get married. He told her that he wanted to back Morgan and said that he was afraid that the more they tried to break up them up, the faster they would run off and get married, plus it didn’t matter if Morgan loved Kiki; Carly replied that she knew Kiki didn’t love Morgan. She told him that Michael confided to her his worries about him committing incest. Sonny thought this was a reason to let the wedding happen, especially since Morgan thought they loved Michael more than him. He knew that if she had the whole truth she wouldn't be as worried. Carly thought it was a big mistake, but Sonny reminded her it was Morgan's choice not theirs. Later, he left Connie a message, happy she was doing him the favor of keeping the story between them.
Dante was excited to bump into Michael and Morgan at Kelly's and wonders what was up with them. He thought Morgan was joking when he announced he was marrying Kiki but congratulated them when he learned it was true. He welcomed Kiki to the family and then joined Anna for breakfast. Anna said that the mayor wanted the case of Olivia's shooting closed and was ready for them to pin it on Sonny. Dante said that he believed Sonny was innocent in the matter and thought Carly was the one who went after Franco. They both considered the mysterious second shooter and realized it had all the markings of a mob hit. Meanwhile, Morgan was grateful for Dante's heartfelt congratulations and chided Michael for not being happy for them. Kiki got upset when Morgan wanted him to prove that he was happy for them by being his best man. Michael agreed and Morgan gave him a hug. Later, Connie joined Michael and asked if was Morgan’s wedding that had him depressed. He wondered what she knew about it. She ignored a call from Sonny but Michael left thinking no one could help. She whispered that she could as he walked out. Outside, Duke mentioned his talk with Ava to Anna, who was interested in finding out the truth about her so she could take care of her on her own.
At GH, Alexis joined Sam in time to hear Silas' findings. He said that he was sorry but Franco wasn’t a donor option for Danny. He added that they needed to expand their search for a donor and that he would double-check the lab tests of other family members. Alone, Silas came across Kiki's sample and considered putting Ava's story to the test. Outside he overheard Morgan and Kiki talking about the wedding. She said she was happy she had a father to walk her down the aisle. Later, Silas swabbed his mouth. Elsewhere, Alexis tried to be supportive and knew there was a match out there somewhere. Sam thought it was like looking for a needle in a haystack and begs to know who her father was. Alexis decided to hire an investigator.
At the Quartermaine's, Tracy paced while leaving Luke another desperate message. Then, Connie barged in announcing that Alice wasn’t the only one stabbing Tracy in the back, Ava was too because Franco isn’t Kiki's father. Tracy wanted proof but she said she couldn’t because of Sonny but Tracy didn’t care what Sonny wanted. She then advised Connie to stand up to Sonny. Connie decided she had to save Crimson if she could get proof. Tracy left Connie to search Ava and Kiki’s rooms for proof. Later, upstairs someone surprised Connie after she found a locked box.
Lucy met Scott at Kelly's and apologized for Kevin's absence. Scott mentioned that Laura couldn't make it either after running off to find Luke. He said that he was worried that Laura was in danger if Jerry Jacks was involved. Scott told Lucy about Luke dying courtesy of Helena’s poisoning. Lucy then said she was worried about funding for Deception when Tracy arrived with a check. Lucy wanted to know what Tracy was buying and Tracy admitted she wanted Lucy's vote at ELQ. Outside, Anna was curious if Duke knew anything about Ava's silent partner. Duke believed it was a Jerome despite the belief that Victor and all of his children were dead. Anna said that she didn’t have probable cause to investigate Ava so Duke suggested they use unofficial ones. As the police commissioner, Anna refused to break the law. Duke said that he didn’t think they had to break the law; they just needed to speak to someone else who would.
At Sonny's, Shawn arrived and warned Sonny that the gambling ring was still in operation. Sonny wanted to find who was pulling the strings so he could wipe out whoever was. As Shawn was leaving, Duke and Anna arrived. Once alone with him, they told Sonny what the Jerome family had done to them. Sonny said that he remembered how sloppy they were and also wanted to know if they were back since his son may be about to marry one. Anna told Sonny that she didn’t want any mob involvement, but Sonny promised to do what he needed to.
At Crimson, Ava joked that Julian looked good for a dead man and asked him to give his baby sister a hug. She was glad to see he was so happy and he admitted that it was nice with everyone believing the Jerome family was dead and gone. Ava told him to try and convince Duke Lavery of that. Derrick remembered telling her to change her name like he did. She complimented him on his respectable alias of Derrick Wells before he scolded her for mucking things up at ELQ. Ava said that he wouldn't even have his foot in the door if wasn’t for her and reminded him that she was essential to his plan to get to Sonny. She promised they'd get to Sonny and take back their territory.
Derrick wondered if it was possible without ELQ since he didn’t believe Ava was in control. Ava then announced that their gambling ring brought together the unlikely couple of Morgan and Kiki. Derrick found it useful but Ava thought that was an understatement. Ava was happy to see him smile as Derrick admitted that he was ready to take on Sonny.
At a bank in Zurich, Luke assumed the alias of Dr. Von Schemerman. He begged the bank detective to help save his life by finding the money Jerry Jacks withdrew from their bank. She wanted to know who he was working for that he was worried about his life. Luke listed the colorful list of criminal characters from Port Charles, including Tracy. She replied that she couldn’t divulge any more information than she did with the WSB and then asked him to leave. Then, two armed masked men broke in. Security was close behind but they were quickly disarmed when they threatened to kill the boss lady. One masked man shot out the security camera. Luke claimed their business wasn’t with him and tried to leave but they promised he would be a dead man if he did. He said that he didn’t want the woman to worry and didn’t think anyone would shoot. Someone did and Luke hit the ground. She cried out, "You killed him." Convinced they meant business, she logged in for them to access bank records. Later, Luke opened his eyes after all but one of the suspects left the room. He thanked the person at the computer. Then, Holly removed her mask and smiled.
At GH, Alexis confided to Sam that the last time she saw Sam's father was the night that she was conceived. They were distracted when Kevin popped out of his office to talk to Lucy when she arrived. Sam convinced Kevin to miss a meeting with Lucy to help them save Danny. Alexis said that she needed his help to find Sam's father and hoped that he could jog her memory. Sam left them alone while Kevin hypnotized Alexis. While under, she recounted the events of the evening. Kevin talked her through until the end of the evening when someone knocked on the car door calling for Julian while they were making out.
Derrick told Ava that she should go before someone sees her. She was about to leave when Sam showed up.
