Since the death of former Bachelor contestant Gia Allemand on Wednesday, media reports have quoted several friends of Allemand, many of whom have said that her relationship with boyfriend Ryan Anderson was in trouble. Her mother finally spoke out today, saying in a statement that the only quotes fans should pay attention to are official statements from Allemand’s publicist and Anderson’s rep.

In the statement to E! News, Donna Micheletti said that none of Allemand’s family or close friends have spoken to the media directly since Allemand died after an apparent suicide attempt.

"There are numerous statements and theories in the media regarding Gia's death and her life that refer to sources close to Gia or friends of hers,” the statement reads. “As her mother, I am well aware of Gia's close friends and her best friends and I am personally going on record to refute all statements to the media out there thus far with the exception of official statements we have released through publicist Penelope Jean Hayes, and those jointly with Ryan Anderson's NBA team representation.”

Micheletti did confirm that the funeral will be held at Papavero Funeral Home in Queens, NY and added that she does plan to speak to a “trusted media source” about her daughter’s life and death soon.

Allemand died Wednesday after being hospitalized Monday. In a statement, Anderson said she was “the most beautiful person I knew inside and out and she always smiled and made everyone else around her smile.”

Jake Pavelka, who was the Bachelor Allemand was vying for, also sent a series of tweets, remembering her as a “very dear friend.”

Allemand was just 29-years-old.
