Former Bachelor contestant, Gia Allemand, is currently in the hospital in critical condition for unknown reasons. She was taken to University Hospital in New Orleans on Monday.

Allemand, 29, a former model and cast member of both ABC’s Bachelor and Bachelor Pad, underwent a “serious emergency medical event,” her publicist said.

USA Today reports that publicists that represent both Allemand and her boyfriend, NBA star Ryan Anderson -- who plays for the New Orleans Pelicans -- say she’s in the hospital with both Anderson and her mother there for support.

Jake Pavelka, the man Allemand competed for on The Bachelor, tweeted well wishes for Allemand after the news:

“On behalf of the family, we kindly ask for privacy at this time,” a statement read, CNN reports. “Further statements will be released as more information becomes available.”

Allemand was on Season 14 of the hit ABC show, which aired in 2010, and she appeared on two seasons of Bachelor Pad.
