After Taylor Swift’s reported “F-bomb” incident at the MTV Video Music Awards as well as her shout-out during her acceptance speech, Harry Styles is speaking out.

While at the New York City premiere of One Direction: This is Us, Styles was asked about Swift accepting her award for Best Female Video for "I Knew You Were Trouble” and saying “I also want to thank the person who inspired this song, and he knows exactly who he is, because now I got one of these.”

He told Extra, “I like a joke as much as the next guy, so it's all good.”
He also confirmed he went out with Swift and her Red tourmate, Ed Sheeran, after the show. “Yeah, I went for a drink with Ed… and some friends,” he said. “It was good.”

Meanwhile, Swift’s good friend, Selena Gomez, stuck up for her when asked what she really said when it looked like she was saying “shut the f-ck up.”

“Don't try that with me," she told a reporter, The AP reports. “I think girls need to be more supportive of each other. I definitely agree with that. I'm all about that," she said. "Taylor has been one of those girls. We have been friends for five years. She is very strong. She doesn't care what people think and she inspires me."
