One Direction singer Harry Styles who briefly dated Taylor Swift last winter has come out telling Us Weekly he does not think it is strange of her to write songs about their past history together.

The couple who briefly dated last winter had somewhat of a bitter break-up with reports that the twosome split because of fighting and trust issues. He tells the magazine, "It would be hypocritical for me to say she couldn't do it because everybody writes songs based on personal experience." "I can't say I'd have dated someone less famous to avoid it. At least she's a great songwriter!," he explained.

The "I knew You Were Trouble" singer famously hinted she wrote that song about the One Direction heartthrob and has been notorious doing so for years. Other famous exes include John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Joe Jonas, and Taylor Lautner. Swift has not been shy about admitting to the press she writes about her exes even saying on her Twitter account after the Styles break-up, " Back in the studio. Uh oh..." Shortly after the break-up Fox News reported that Harry was not sore about his ex performing at the Grammy's in a faux British accent singing "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." "She's always good on the stage. She's been doing it a long time. She knows what she's doing on stage. It was just another good Taylor Swift performance. It was good," he said.
