The trailer for season 3 of Homeland on Showtime has finally been released.
The explosion at CIA headquaters at the end of Season 2 left the audience with many questions for the next steps of the show. They will soon be answered.
The preview makes season 3 look like it will sadly be rebuilding many of the broken remains from the previous season. Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis), who fled the country after being framed for the explosion is sporting a new hairless look and finding yet another culture to fit into. Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes), still suffering from bipolar disorder, is back in the hospital and deeply depressed that yet another obstacle has gotten in the way of her and Brody being together. Since Brody and his wife Jessica (Morena Baccarin) finally decided to split up, she is consoling the family after the supposed news of his involvement with the attack at Langley. The oldest Brody child, Dana (Morgan Saylor) seems to be taking after her father and joining the Muslim religion in his absence. And of course, Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) is left to deal with the legal system and take care of the CIA.
The series, nominated for 11 Emmys this year, returns to Showtime on September 29.
