Jack White’s ex-wife, model Karen Elson, has obtained a temporary restraining order against the White Stripes rocker. She said she is fearful of his violent temper when it comes to handling divorce proceedings.
Elson is accusing White of harassing her, stating in the paperwork filed “Wife fears for her and the children’s safety as a result of this harassment.” She also claimed White approached her lawyer “in an inappropriate and aggressive manner.”
The City Paper in Nashville reports a hearing is set for Aug. 29 and until then, he’s ordered not to have "any contact with wife whatsoever except as it relates to parenting time with the parties' minor children.”
In a statement to E! News, Elson said "This is a private matter. I thank you for respecting my family's privacy and will be making no further comment.”
The former couple met on the set of White’s "Blue Orchid" music video and they got married in 2005. They had an amicable split in 2011 and even threw a divorce party. "Please help us celebrate together this anniversary of the making and breaking of the sacred union of marriage with our best friends and animals,” they invitation read.
