Former Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek and his wife Kimberly are expecting their third child. Kimberly announced the news herself on her blog.
“James and I are happy to report that we are expecting our third child this winter,” Kimberly wrote. She also provided some tips for pregnant women and explained, “All of the craziness, exhaustion and moodiness aside, James and I are beyond elated and feeling so incredibly blessed.”
She continued, “Olivia and Joshua are in on the news and seem to be excited about a baby coming into the family. And James, thank you for being the loving, caring and understanding husband and father that you are.”
As People notes, James and Kimberly are the parents of Olivia, who turns three next month, and Joshua, 17 months. They told the magazine that they plan to keep the new baby’s sex a surprise.
“I never really had a preference with either one of the first two,” James said. “We already have all the stuff for girls and boys, so there is no logistical reason for me to know, so we thought it would be fun to do it old school.”
James recently appeared on ABC’s comedy Don’t Trust the B--- In Apti. 23, playing a crazy version of himself. He will next be seen in Jason Reitman’s Labor Day and stars in the upcoming TV series Friends with Better Lives.
Congratulations to the happy parents!
