Since Cory Monteith’s death in July, the Glee cast has been very open about the show’s future without one its stars. There are plans for a special tribute episode and it appears that the script for it is complete. Actress Jane Lynch commended the shows producers and writers for the episode.
“Just read Cory Monteith memorial episode. Most beautiful thing,” Lynch tweeted on Thursday, thanking producers Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuck and Ian Brennan.

Fox Entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly explained earlier this month that the third episode of this season will be the Monteith tribute show, which will include PSAs from Murphy and the cast. The profits of the music from the show will also go to a charity.
“The hard part for all of us is that the past week we’ve been holed up writing the memorial episode,” Murphy told Deadline last week. “There were a lot of things that we had to decide — how are we going to deal with his death?”
He added that the death of Finn, the character Monteith played, may not even be explained. “That might be weird for some people but it felt really exploitative to do it any other way,” Murphy said.
Lynch previously opened up about Monteith on The Tonight Show just days after his death.
Glee’s fifth season starts on Sept. 26 and the Monteith tribute episode should air on Oct. 10.
