US Magazine reports that days before news broke that Warner Brothers had cast Affleck to play Batman in the sequel to Man of Steel, he celebrated his 41st birthday with family and friends. Garner planned and coordinated the birthday bash, which was held in the Brentwood neighborhood where the couple live.
According to an eyewitness, approximately 30 people showed up for the party around 2 PM. The source said, "There were kids running around in the yard having a blast. It was a relaxed afternoon and people didn't bring gifts. They all started to leave after dinner around 6 or 7 PM."
The party may not have been sizable, but it was certainly star-studded. Matt Damon was there along with his his wife, Luciana. The couple has recently moved to Los Angeles from New York City. Their four daughters - Alexia, Isabella, Gia, and Stella - attended the party. Reportedly, Garner has a circle of friends that she is introducing Damon's wife to.
Apparently, Damon and Affleck are getting to spend more time together now that they live in the same city. According to The Daily Mail, the two have been close friends since their childhood in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
