Joe Francis, the creator of the Girls Gone Wild franchise, has reportedly been sentenced to jail time for the 2011 assault of a woman.
The 40-year-old was convicted back in May on three counts of false imprisonment and one count each of assault causing great bodily injury and dissuading a witness in connection, reports CBS Los Angeles. He was accused of assaulting the woman at his Bel Air mansion on Jan. 11, 2011.
Both TMZ and CBS LA report that Francis was sentenced to 270 days in jail. He has also been ordered to take anger management classes and meet with a psychologist for a year with one session a week.
Bond was set at $250,000. The judge showed concern over Francis’ temper, warning him that he has to control his anger in the future.
As we reported after his conviction, Francis sat down with THR and criticized the justice system. He even suggested that the jurors be “shot dead.” He later apologized for those comments, but he still claimed his innocence.
