Former Full House star John Stamos will be brightening the day of 19-year-old Kaitlyn Dobrow when he takes her on a date to Disneyland.
Dobrow is a quadruple amputee after fighting the deadly bacterial infection meningococcemia, has been through 12 life-saving surgeries, and currently resides at a hospital in Orange County, Calif., according to NBC's Today.
Kaitlyn's mother, Kathi Dobrow, has been able to raise more than $77,000 for her daughter through the use of a fundraising site, ABC reports, which will be used to accomodate the family's needs.
“Kaitlynn has had an amazingly positive and courageous attitude throughout this illness and is determined to have a happy, fulfilling life, believing that God has an awesome plan for her future. She is my hero,” her mother said.
After visiting Dobrow in the hospital, Stamos posted an Instagram photo with the caption,"I'm ONLY doing this cause they asked. I said no press. But this story is a must read -- plus me and katie have a date to Disneyland."
Dobrow's best friend also Kristen Kidd took to Twitter to share the good news about Stamos' visit.
Thank you @JohnStamos for making the time to come and visit my best friend, @kaitlynndobrow. You made our day! Can't wait to see you again!
