Justin Bieber has felt his fair-share of backlash from his recent odd behavior, but today the 19-year-old singer is being praised by the Make a Wish Foundation for setting a record after making his 200th wish.
The foundation posted the news on their official Twitter saying, “Hey Beliebers! Join us in congratulating @JustinBieber on his 200th wish & help us grant even more.#Bieber200Wishes.”
According to the report, Bieber became the first recording artist in history to grant 200 wishes to children with life-threatening diseases.
Bieber’s most recent work with the foundation came during his latest stop on his Believe tour where he gave Annalysha, 8, the star treatment she has always wished for. Annalysha, who is suffering from a life-threatening liver condition, was given a VIP treatment backstage during his concert in Atlanta and even proposed to the As Long As You Love Me” singer, which he accepted, CelebrityGossip.net reports.
David Williams, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish America, opened up about Bieber’s involvement saying, "Despite his relentless schedule, Justin has been genuinely committed to granting wishes since the very beginning and a strong supporter of Make-A-Wish. Justin understands the impact on a child of a wish-come-true and how it can create positive changes in their outlook, help them feel better, and even influence their health."
According to Bieber’s Twitter, his date with Annalysha will be featured on Entertainment Tonight.
