Singer Justin Timberlake revealed that he wants to play the iconic Batman villain, the Riddler.
FoxNews reports that Timberlake expressed his desire to play the classic villain in an interview. The 32-year-old multitalented star has taken on many creative endeavors but has yet to play a villain in a superhero movie. On Fresh 102.7's "Jim and Kim Show," he said, "Ill tell you the villain I want to play more than anything because I grew up loving Batman, funny enough, is the Riddler. The Riddler is my favorite villain."
According to People Timberlake has no desire to play a virtuous hero in any comic-book movie. He opposed the idea of playing Robin in the upcoming Man of Steel 2. He said, "I ain't playin' Robin. I have no aspiration to ever be a superhero in a movie."
There has been a lot of backlash regarding casting for the Man of Steel 2 especially after Ben Affleck was unexpectedly cast to play the Dark Knight. Timberlake had nothing but positive reinforcement for Affleck. "Ben Affleck as Batman. I like it," said Timberlake. "I think he's a brilliant filmmaker. I think he's an extreme talent so he could surprise a lot of people."
Timberlake co-stars with Ben Affleck in the upcoming movie Runner Runner.
