Life has changed for Kanye West since the birth of his daughter. He and his reality star girlfriend Kim Kardashian welcomed baby North back in June, and since then, he has been singing a different tune.
ABC News reports that West told his mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, how his daughter has healed old wounds on the season finale of her talk show. "After I lost my mother, there were times I felt like, I would put my life at risk. I felt like sometimes I didn't have something to live for," the rapper said on Kris last Friday. "Now I have two really special people to live for, a whole family to live for. A whole world to live for."
Kardashian, 32, and West, 35, have managed to remain largely out of the public eye since the birth of their daughter, but West discussed the difficulty of maintaining his high-profile relationship with Kardashian. Despite this, the artist is determined to focus on the joyous aspects of the relationship, taking a page out of his deceased grandfather's book, reports Rolling Stone.
"I could have people saying, 'This [relationship] is going to damage your credibility as an artist or as a designer,' and I say, 'I don't care. I love this woman.' Or someone could say... 'Everyone knows you don't like paparazzi, why would you be with this person?' And I'm saying, 'I'm being with this person because I love this person and she's worth it to me,'" the "Jesus Walks" singer said. "She's my joy and she brought my new joy into the world. And there's no paparazzi and there's no blog comment that's gonna take that joy from me."
