Although Kelly Clarkson tweeted that some of Sunday’s MTV Video Music Award performances appeared to be “#pitchystrippers,” the American Idol had more words of praise for Selena Gomez.
According to Us Weekly, Clarkson also took to Twitter Tuesday to praise the former Wizards of Waverly Place actress for her presenting duties during Sunday evening’s event.
“Dear Selena Gomez, you are by far one of the most beautiful, sexy, classy things on this planet. #Goddidgood #texasgirls,” she wrote.
The kind tweet following the “Hazel Eyes” singers seemingly jab at Miley Cyrus Monday.
"Just saw a couple performances from the VMAs last night," she wrote. "2 words...#pitchystrippers."
In addition to Cyrus’ gyrating and grinding on stage, Lady Gaga made her return to the stage sporting a shell bikini top and thong bottoms. Clarkson never pointed out exactly who the “pitchy stripper” was that she was referring.
Clarkson was not on hand at the VMA’s this year, the singer is currently busy prepping for her Christmas album and has since announced that she and fiancé Brandon Blackstock plan to elope following months of wedding planning pressure.
