Musician Kid Rock had words of warning for the individual who attempted to rob his Michigan home, saying he would not pause before pulling his gun on an intruder.
The 42-year-old posted a strongly worded blog post before police apprehended a man suspected of trespassing and intending to enter the singer’s home. The post, entitled, “Don’t Mess with a Motherf*cker Like Me,” shows still images from security footage of a man on crutches walking toward Kid Rock’s home.
“Thank God I was not on the property at the time of this attempted break in,” Kid Rock writes. “I am an avid hunter and marksman and I will not hesitate to shoot anyone who has myself or family in fear for our lives.”
Kid Rock also reached out to fans to help him catch the man himself, offering a $5,000 reward to anyone with information.
"I take the invasion of my personal space very seriously regardless of who you are and YES, I do profile people,” the singer said. “I am currently profiling any balding white male on crutches driving a white creeper van. Please contact the Oakland County Sheriff Tip Line at 1.800.773.2587 with any information on this jackass. I am offering a $5k reward for any information leading to his arrest. "
The New York Daily News reports that Detroit police have detained a 43-year-old man suspected after they received tips of his identity, which has not been revealed.
