Actress Leah Remini filed a missing persons report Wednesday in the hopes of finding the whereabouts of Church of Scientology leader David Miscavige’s wife, Shelly, who reportedly has not been seen in public for six years. Police have since met with Shelly and the report is now being deemed “unfounded.”

A Los Angeles Police Department source tells New York Daily News, “Detectives met with (Michelle) Miscavige in person. The investigation is completed and classified as unfounded."

Remini had been scrutinized by the Church of Scientology for questioning the whereabouts of Shelly, her longtime friend, at the Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ wedding. Nearly one month ago Remini left the controversial church. The King of Queens actress spoke out publically about her departure saying, id, "I believe that people should be able to question things. I believe that people should value family, and value friendships, and hold those things sacrosanct.”

Remini has openly expressed that she will not “shut up” when it comes to the pressure Miscavige put on her to distance herself from her family member’s whom he deemed to be “suppressive persons.”
