Despite the significant amount of media attention and promotions, Lindsay Lohan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey failed to bring in the stellar ratings the OWN network has anticipated.

Fox News reports that the Sunday airing brought in only 892,000 viewers during the 9 p.m. slot, and 1.8 million viewers during the rebroadcast.

Oprah’s sit down with Lohan failed miserably when looking at the ratings of her interview with Bobbi Kristina in March 2012, which brought in 3.5 million viewers and her interview with Lance Armstrong, which brought in 3.2 million viewers.

Many critics are blaming the fact that this is not Lohan’s first or second time exiting rehab with the idea of making a career comeback. The troubled starlet also had to compete with the season finale of True Blood, which attracted a hefty 4.1 million viewers, while 4.8 million viewers tuned in to AMC’s Breaking Bad.

Despite the ratings flop, Lohan still raked in $2 million for the sit down interview. Additionally, an eight-part documentary series focusing on The Canyons actress’ career is still expected to air.
