This week Mark Cosmetics celebrated their 10th Birthday. Mark is actually a branch off of AVON, which is well known line for many years. Mark originated in 2003, and was named best new line by CosmoGirl back in 2003. The brand is not only about beauty but, fashion and speaking out against domestic violence. This line first introduced their brand ambassador in 2007 with Lauren Conrad. It was such a hit and brought Mark Cosmetics to a whole new level. In 2010, Ashlee Greene was named brand ambassador. This year Lucy Hale was the newest to embrace the line.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to the birthday party where Meg Lerner, Global President for Mark and of course Lucy Hale hosted. Meg Lerner thanked everyone for attending and helping to celebrate such an important year. She then handed the floor to Lucy and she told us why she decided to be a part o the line. She said she was already familiar and a fan of AVON and Mark so when she was asked to be a part of the line, she said it was a no brainer. She mentioned that the felt Mark was more than her just putting her face on the lie. Mark represents empowering women and to embrace their uniqueness. Specifically with m.empowerment, which deals with battered women. She expressed that this is important to her, while she personally has not dealt with something like this, she is most definitely a supporter of helping women deal with it.

There was a birthday cake for Mark, and we were also graced with a special appearance by R&B singer Elle Varner. She sang happy birthday to Mark while Lucy Hale blew out the candles. The Elle sang her new hit, Refill. I have to say she is beautiful and has a great voice. She sang live and definitely set the perfect mood for this event.
