24 fan favorite Mary Lynn Rajskub has signed on to reprise her role from the original series in the upcoming mini-series reboot.
Rajskub played CTU systems analyst Chloe O’Brian, who constantly had to hel Kiefer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer out of trouble. According to Entertainment Weekly, Rajskub joined the show in season three and went on to appear in more episodes of the show than any other actor, except Sutherland.
“I am thrilled to be working with Howard [Gordon] and the writers again – and, of course, Kiefer. There’s a lot more room to grow in my character…I’m going to start sharpening my computer skills now,” Rajskub said in a statement, notes The Hollywood Reporter.
Several members of the original 24 crew are returning for 24: Live Another Day, which is set to air in spring 2014. Executive producer Howard Gordon is back to oversee the series.
Fox officially ordered the series in May and in June, Gordon hired director/producer Jon Cassar to direct multiple episodes.
Rajskub has also appeared in Road Trip and Sweet Home Alabama. She recently appeared in episodes of Arrested Development and New Girl.
