Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga spoke out about her sister-in-law Teresa Giudice’s legal problems while at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

She said their family’s priority is Teresa and her husband, Joe Giudice’s four daughters; Gia, 12, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 7, and Audriana, 3.

Gorga said of the couple’s legal issues, "We're always here for Teresa. She's very strong and has a lot of strength and at the end of the day, it's about those four babies and we're here for them no matter what. She knows that we're here for her."

"It's [been] extremely hard," Teresa’s brother, Joe, also told Us Weekly on Sunday.
The couple’s next hearing is set for Oct. 3, and they put in a not guilty plea on Aug. 14.

"[Their] kids are doing great. They're very happy," Melissa, 34, said. "They got together for a play date [with our kids] recently and the kids are all very happy."

If convicted, Joe faces being deported back to Italy or jail time of up to 50 years.
