Sunday’s ‘N Sync reunion has been getting a lot of attention, but one aspect of the reunion has fans wondering if JC Chasez will ignite a solo career.

While he is currently working hard to help launch an all-girl group called Girl Radical and has dabbled in producing and writing for American Idol’s David Archuleta, Backstreet Boys and the British band McFly, seeing him in action at the MTV Video Music Awards has fans wondering.

"Everyone saw that he can sing his ass off still, he looks great and he can dance," a source told E! News, adding Chasez’s camp has been received phone calls to get his solo career going.

"They remembered that he has an amazing voice, that he was 'N Sync's soul guy."

In 2004, he attempted a solo career with the album Schizophrenia, which he released through the band’s record label, Jive Records. He’s since released two other singles, but a source says “He has more music that he never released.”

Chasez appeared on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show after the reunion and said it was only a “matter of time” before they got back together to perform.

“First of all, it was the worst kept secret ever, [but] Justin gave me a buzz and he said, ‘Hey man, listen. I’m getting this award and they have given me a pile of time to perform and we started our careers at MTV and I think we should get the band back together,’” he explained.

He added, “It really was about him and all that he’s accomplished.”
