With the announcement of Man of Steel 2 starring Batman, numerous executives have been on the hunt to find the perfect man to play the caped crusader. After fans have rallied on Twitter, Castle star Nathan Fillion says he would be a terrible Batman.
Entertainment Weekly reported that Fillion has not been approached in any way about the role, despite being a favorite pick of many fans. Fillion does admittedly have the Bruce Wayne-look, but he confesses he wouldn't be the right guy to play the Dark Knight. Fillion said, "I think I’d make an excellent Bruce Wayne; I think I’d make a terrible Batman.”
Although he won't be protecting the streets of Gotham anytime soon, he has already had some experience as a superhero. He voiced the Green Lantern in the animated movie Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox.
ComicBookMovie.com reported that Fillion urged fans not to push for one actor to take on the role because more than likely it will be the least expected actor who gets the part, not the fan favorite or obvious choice. He said, “Probably the worst thing you could do if there’s someone you want to be Batman is sort of rally.”
