The third season of New Girl is quickly approaching and details about relationships, feuds, and guest stars are starting to emerge.
At the end of the second season, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Nick (Jake Johnson) crossed the line of the friend zone and took the plunge. All season long, viewers anxiously watched to see whether or not one of them would make a move. According to EOnline the two will have become an official couple in the third season. It will be entertaining to see how their relationship plays out-- not just with each other, but also with the other loft-mates (Max Greenfield and Lamorne Morris), and Jess' best friend Cece (Hannah Simone).
Speaking of loft-mates, the third season also promises the return of Coach (Damon Wayans Jr.), an original loft-dweller from the pilot episode. TheCelebrityCafe.com reported that he will guest star on the show for several episodes. Upon his exit from the show, Morris' character came on board as a replacement.
Executive producer Liz Meriwether told TVGuide "[Coach] comes back into the picture at a time when the roommates are at odds with each other. We're playing with [Winston] being really insecure about it and that he's really intimidated by Coach and having to learn to standup to Coach." Now that Coach will be returning, viewers will have to see if the loft is big enough for the two funny guys.
Season 3 of New Girl premieres Sept. 17 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
