Nick Cannon is reaching out to Amanda Bynes in an open letter that he posted on Tumblr. In it, he takes a loving approach to show the troubled actress that he’s there for her.
In the letter titled “an open letter to my sister, Amanda Bynes,” on his Tumblr page, Cannon writes about everything going in her life right now, like getting psychiatric care; "I see this as no laughing matter," he writes.
Although he says being in the entertainment industry is “one of the best and easiest occupations to ever have,” he also says “one must know how to navigate through the matrix or you may find yourself in a very dark hole. When a person is told all of their life that they are awesome, the best, the greatest and they are catered to every moment of the day. Imagine being the breadwinner in your household before you can even drive.”
After writing about fame, its downfalls and the public’s judgment, he writes, "We all end up alone in that dark hole at some point in our lives and if you don't have a foundation of friends and family to help bring you up and out it makes that journey long and detrimental,” E! Online reports.
“I say to my sister Amanda Bynes you’re not alone. I’m here for you. I understand. I care and I appreciate you, because that’s what family does and that’s what family is for," he concludes.
