Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network has greenlighted a docu-series set in Harlem called Crazy.Sexy.Life. The series centers on four New York women with fast-paced professional lives.

According to Deadline, the show and its stars - Kiyah, Bershan, Chenoa and Tiffany - will get a high-profile spotlight on Sept. 3 when a preview episode airs after Tyler Perry’s successful series The Haves and Have Nots. The series will officially premiere in early 2014.

OWN president Sheri Salata released a statement showing confidence in the series, notes The Hollywood Reporter. “Set against the backdrop of America's most vibrant and competitive city, this show details what real life is all about for a quartet of very different personalities who have embraced one another as 'family' for more than a decade, and who depend on one another unconditionally,” Salata said.

Crazy.Sexy.Life. will be the first project developed by Core Media Group since it was rebranded under Marc Graboff. Doug Wilson was executive producer n the pilot and the rest of the executive producing team includes D'Angela Proctor, Jen O'Connell, Rob Lee and Lenid Rolov.

The women’s adventures start with Kiyah, who, as a celebrity stylist, is the link between the four, according to the network’s announcement.

The Have And Have Nots season finale airs at 9 p.m. on Sept. 3, with Crazy.Sexy.Life. premiering at 10 p.m.

The news comes after OWN announced earlier this week that it just had its highest-rated month in its history and that it joined the Top 3 cable networks for the African-American Women 25-54 demographic.
