Katharine Jackson is speaking out about granddaughter Paris Jackson, saying that “She is doing much better.”
Michael Jackson’s mother recently talked to Hello! magazine where she explained that Paris is getting better at the treatment center, USA Today reports. “She is in a good place, getting the help she needs.”
“The treatment is going good, really good. She’s my baby. It’s hard for me, really hard. All I wanted is for these kids to be is happy.”
The 83-year-old grandmother currently has legal guardianship over 15-year-old Paris and her siblings, Prince and Blanket.
Last week, Michael Jackson’s brother, Randy, tweeted that he wanted his niece released from the treatment center. One tweet read, “I dont like that Paris is still in this facility. It’s not right,” as he believes she has been there for “too long.”
As previously reported, after Paris was discharged from the hospital, she was moved to an undisclosed treatment facility for therapy where she currently remains.
She had tried to commit suicide back in June by overdosing on pills and slitting her wrists.
