Actor Paul Wesley and his wife Torrey DeVitto are filing for divorce after two years of marriage.
Wesley, 31, is best known for his role on the CW’s show the Vampire Diaries, as Stefan Salvatore. He met Pretty Little Liars star, 29, back in 2007 when the two worked together in the film Killer Movie according to CBS News. In April 2011, the actors held a private wedding ceremony in New York.
The couple has no children together.
According to People, Wesley’s rep says the split was amicably and the two still remain good friends.
DeVitto had a recurring role as Dr. Meredith Fell on Vampire Diaries during season three and four. She is also a series regular on Lifetime’s Army Wives, which has finished its seventh season.
Wesley spoke about the relief of working close to his wife in 2012.
“It’s fantastic because otherwise we’d be 2000 miles away, Los Angeles and Georgia, so it’s very nice to be in the same geographical location.”
