Paula Deen can begin picking up the pieces to what once was her multi-billion dollar empire. The lawsuit against Deen has officially been dropped.
Earlier this month, Deen was cleared of racial discrimination claims and now The Associated Press reports that discrimination lawsuit has been officially dropped.
Per documents filed in U.S. District Court in Savannah, both parties agreed to drop the suit "without any award of costs or fees to any party."
Deen began to see her empire fall in June after former employee Lisa Jackson filed a lawsuit against the celebrity chef claiming she was a racist. Deen was accused of hosting a Civil War themed wedding in which she asked African American men to dress as slaves, as well as asking her African American cooks to dress as Aunt Jemima to create an atmosphere for her restaurant guests.
Deen was quickly dropped by a handful of brand names, including WalMart, QVC, Target, JcPenny, the Food Network and many, many others.
According to the AP, no additional details surrounding the suit were immediately available.
