I have been watching Pretty Little Liars since the beginning of the show. I think it is interesting. However, season four may be my last. I previously wrote a list of top ten unanswered questions but after watching the episode before the season 4A finale, I’m just exhausted.
In this episode, there were huge things that happened that were just dumb. It seems as if everything that is happening on PLL this season has been dumb. Before tonight’s episode, I was willing to wait for more answers but after tonight’s, I’m just angry.
Cece Drake was revealed to be alive and spying on the girls. That is a great reveal. However, it made no sense at all. In the beginning of the episode, she said that she didn’t want to go back to Rosewood. However, at the end, she was found listening in on Ezra and Aria’s conversation. Last time I checked, Ezra’s apartment was in Rosewood.
But the Cece plot-hole wasn’t the only one. There are plenty. Like, why Aria’s current lover Jake is totally cool with the fact that Aria dated her teacher and doesn’t call the police when that same teacher is staring and obviously wanting her? If I were Jake I would call the police. Plus, why does Ezra want Aria to know about his life drama anyway?
On the Hanna front, it seems that she is just drowning in everything that relates to her mother’s case. She is a teen. It shouldn’t be her responsibility to get her mother off the hook. And when she found the money in her locker, she didn’t go straight to the police. Instead, she gave it back to the guy and then told him to go to the police. My guess is that A is going to make it seem as if Hanna paid the boy to admit the information.
And there are secrets that they have forgotten along the way. (Like everything that happened in the previous seasons.) Some things that have happened on the show are just completely outlandish that it throws me out. How did Red Coat disappear from that hay?
Wren, a doctor, has been slipping people in and out of Radley without anyone noticing? He got Cece and Toby in. Then Mona was leaving Radley without anyone noticing and she did it multiple times? Come on.
Ian was pushed off the bell tower and the girls didn't notice someone slipping his body out? And somehow someone got into see Wilden's dead body and slipped Hanna's mom's phone inside? Then, this episode, a random character shows up and gives Hanna money?
And we are supposed to believe that Cece hates these high school girls so much that she is willing to spy on them? What did they do anyway? The only person who really has enough hate them should be Jenna whom they blinded.
Ali is dead. If Ali did all of these mean things, why would you go after the girls after they found Ali's dead body? Nothing makes sense anymore.
The most important question, I think, is why the girls haven’t gone to the police. That would be how to get Ashley off the hook. Show the threatening texts. If A or Red Coat or whomever is evil gets caught, all of their problems would be solved.
Season four, thus far, has been weak. The writers and producers stated that it would be the season of answers but we have gotten more questions than answers. Unless the finale reveals something big, I may quit.
Actually, they don’t have to reveal something big. I just want an answer, not another question. There are enough questions to keep the series running forever. Just give me something.
Giving a finale a clever name such as unmAsked or BetrAyal, ReveAl or World War A doesn’t make it interesting. It is simply marketing. You know what a better name would be? Answers.
