Prince William says that his newborn son's nursery will be decorated with African-themed items.
US Magazine reports that the 31-year old prince discussed the decoration of Prince George's nursery with CNN. Describing his vision for infant's room, Prince William said, "I'll have toy elephants and rhinos around the room. We'll cover it in, you know, lots of bushes and things like that. [We'll] make him grow up as if he's in the bush."
The Duke of Cambridge was happy to talk about his son's growth over his first few weeks of life. "[He's] growing quite quickly actually. But he's a little fighter. He kind of, he wriggles around quite a lot. And he doesn't want to go to sleep that much, which is a little bit of a problem. He's a little bit of a rascal, put it that way. So he either reminds me of my brother or me when I was younger. I'm not sure. But he's doing very well at the moment."
According to E! Online, he and Kate Middleton are working with an interior designer, Anne Allen, on getting the finishing touches of their apartment inside Kensington Palace finished. The royal couple will be moving into Apartment #1A.
The Duke of Cambridge has discussed his dream for his son to grow up to love Africa in the same way that he and his younger brother, Prince Harry, do. Africa has always had a special place in William's heart. Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana introduced their two boys to Africa and the endangered species that live their when they were young. He also proposed to Kate Middleton in Kenya in 2010.
