Rashida Jones has landed a new gig, just a few days after it was revealed that she will be leaving NBC’s Parks and Recreation after the first 13 episodes of its upcoming season. Jones will be working as a producer on the new single-camera comedy Stuck, which will air on Fox.
Stuck follows the story of a middle-aged bank teller who gets her stuck-up daughter a job at her bank. Within a day, her daughter becomes her boss, forcing the two of them to work to get their relationship back on track.
According to TV Guide, Jones will not star in the project, and will instead serve as the executive producer. Will McCormack, who worked with Jones’ on her original screenplay Celeste and Jesse Forever, and Alexandra Rushfield, who worked with Jones on Parks and Recreation, will also produce. Rushfield will also help to write the series.
This is the second project to come out of a two-year pod deal that Jones and McCormack signed with Warner Bros. Television. The deal will result in the pair writing and producing their own comedy and drama projects for various television stations.
