Russell Brand used his failed marriage to pop-singer Katy Perry as material in his recent stand-up comedy show in London.
According to New York Daily News, Brand joked that he considered becoming a monk after his divorce from Perry.
He joked, “When you're a monk, you're not allowed to have sex with anyone... When you're married, it's one person. That's one more than a monk. It's not that different."
Continuing Brand took a dig at his sex life with Perry saying , "I'd be having sex thinking, 'think of anyone, anyone else.'"
Brand and Perry called it quits after just 14 months of marriage. In an interview with Vogue back in June, the “Wide Awake” singer revealed that the Forgetting Sarah Marshall actor asked for a divorce via text message. “Let's just say I haven't heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me December 31, 2011,” she explained.
Perry is now dating singer/songwriter John Mayer. She has not responded to Brand’s jabs regarding their sex life.
