Ryan Seacrest is adding another job to his already lengthy resume. The American Idol host/radio talk show host/producer/ host of New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, (among many others) is set to host NBC’s Million Second Quiz.
According to Variety, Secrest will both host and executive produce the game show which features contestants competing for one million seconds, 11 days, 13 hours, 46 minutes and 40 seconds) in an hour-glass shaped structure where contestants will reside for a possible winning of $10 million.
"It's really a fun and different format that I believe will generate lots of fans across different platforms," Seacrest said of his new position as quoted by Digital Spy. "I'm looking forward to working with the other producers and everyone at NBC to make the show a success."
NBC president of alternative and late night programming Paul Telegdy also offered his opinion of Seacret’s addition to the network saying, “When people see Ryan Seacrest, whether at the Emmys, the Oscars or New Year's Eve, he is at the epicentre of national events.”
Million Second Quiz is set to air September 9 and run in 12 nights in a row.
