Tom Guiry, better known to some as The Sandlot’s Scotty Smalls, was arrested after head butting a cop while drunk.
Houston Police Department spokesperson John Cannon confirmed Guiry’s arrest with E! News. According to Cannon, the Houston Police Department was asked to investigate a passenger at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport who appeared to be too intoxicated to travel. The Police Department arrived to find Guiry drunk.
Guiry was reportedly given the option to go to a sober house and not be charged; the Mystic River actor would not have it and began making threats against the officers. When the officers went into arrest him, the 31-year-old actor began kicking and then head-butt another officer. He was detained on felony charges of assaulting an officer in addition to public intoxication.
Outside of Guiry’s most notable credits, which include 1993’s The Sandlot and Mystic River, his other credits include Black Hawk Down, Elementary, Tigerland and Justice.
A rep for Guiry has not commented on the arrest.
