Smalls took the phrase "to hit like a slugger" to a new level when he drunkenly assaulted a police officer at a Houston Airport.

TMZ reports that a Bush Intercontinental Airlines employee decided this past weekend that the 31 year-old actor was too drunk to fly. An airpot cop then gave Guiry the option to be arrested under public intoxication or spend some time in Houston's sobering center. Guiry responded by verbally attacking and threatening the officer. Guiry then allegedly tried to kick him in the face and ended up head-butting the officer.

According to MSN Guiry was booked for felony assault on a police officer, but posted a $5,000 bail and was released. Fans everywhere are proclaiming, "You're killin' me, Smalls!"

Guiry played Scotty Smalls in the classic sports comedy about a group of kids who play baseball in the Summer of 1962. Just last week the cast of The Sandlot celebrated the 20 year anniversary of the movie at a reunion in Salt Lake City, Utah where the movie was filmed. Guiry was not in attendance.
