Singer Sean Kingston is reportedly facing a lawsuit from a woman who claims that he participated in a gang rape in 2010. He has denied the charges.

Kingston is being sued by Carissa Capeloto, who was a teenager when partied in a Seattle hotel room with Kingston in July 2010, reports TMZ. She claims that during the party, she smoked marijuana and drank at least seven shots of vodka. After that, Kingston, his bodyguard and a member of his band allegedly gang raped her. She was “obviously intoxicated, incapable of consent,” the lawsuit states.

According to Perez Hilton, police were called to the hotel room after Capeloto’s friend walked in on the scene. She was allegedly treated at a hospital for injuries that were consistent with rape.

Capeloto, who is now 22, said that the incident has ruined her life and she can’t sleep. She suffers from mood swings and panic attacks. She is hoping for a minimum of $5 million.

TMZ notes that Kingston was cleared of all criminal charges when police decided that Capeloto was not credible. Kingston himself filed legal documents denying Capeloto’s claims and saying that the sex was consensual.

The trial is scheduled for November.
