Selena Gomez, who won the VMA for Best Pop Video on Sunday, discussed her favorite performances at the event.
While on the red carpet for the premiere of her new movie Getaway, Gomez told Yahoo! omg! that her favorite moment from the VMAs was Lady Gaga’s opening performance of “Applause.” Gomez said Gaga was “absolutely stunning.”
When asked about Miley Cyrus’s twerk-tastic performance, Gomez simply responded it was “great.” During the Cyrus’s performance, Gomez and her bestie Taylor Swift both danced and sang along to “We Can’t Stop” from their seats in the audience, according to E news. However, later Gomez was caught her sticking out her tongue in mockery of Cyrus’s favorite facial contortion.
After the night of dancing in Brooklyn, Gomez flew to L.A. for Monday’s premiere of Getaway, in which she stars alongside Ethan Hawke. Gomez admitted her feet were killing her after two nights in a row of standing in heels.
Despite just releasing her first solo album and winning her first Moonman, Gomez plans to concentrate on acting for a while instead of singing. Her film Getaway will be in theaters August 30.
