Selena Gomez is opening up about the pressures of living your life in the public eye, how it affects her and how she stays sane in such a chaotic business.
She has a successful music career as well as acting career, and the 21-year-old former Disney star maintains she stays grounded by having “good people around me."
Her relationship with Justin Bieber was widely covered in the media and she’s no stranger to rumors about her personal life.
"It does get to me. I'm a human and I feel those emotions of when people talk about you," she told NY Daily News. "It's never a good feeling cause half the time it's just bull, it's not real."
She continued on about rumors that constantly surround her, "In the real world I'll drive my car to the grocery store and buy myself some food. In the media world it's like, 'Oohhh, I drive my car to go somewhere secretive.' It gets too clouded so I just have good people around me."
Gomez’s film Getaway with Ethan Hawke is hitting the big screen on Aug. 30. Her fourth album Stars Dance, even knocked Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail from the top spot on Billboard’s 200 chart.
