A section of the Summer Bay Resort in Central Florida near Disney World collapsed Monday morning because of a 40-foot wide sinkhole. Another section of the villa was also continuously sinking.

The building, with about 20 people living in it, was completely evacuated along with another nearby building. Late Sunday night firefighters were called to the scene when residents felt the building start to shake and heard popping noises.

“The building on the west side … a portion of that structure just collapsed. It’s literally breaking in half,” said Lake County Fire Rescue’s Battalion Chief Special Operations Tony Cuellar, NBC reports. “The elevator building was leaning over at “about 30 or 40 degrees.”

According to Associated Press, as of 3 a.m. this morning the three-story building was 30 percent collapsed. The gas was also shut off as a precaution after a possible gas leak.

The luxury resort, which provides condominiums, two-bedroom villas, standard rooms, vacation houses, and a clubhouse, is located about 10 miles west of Disney World near Clermont.

Sinkholes have become a reoccurring problem in the state of Florida, responsible for killing a man five months ago. Luckily, authorities took action at the resort in time and no one was injured.
