Shemane Deziel, the wife of outspoken conservative country singer Ted Nugent, has just been arrested at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. She was reportedly carrying a gun to the terminal.

TMZ reports that it is still not known if Nugent was with Deziel at the time.

According to NBC 5 DFW, DFW Airport spokesman David Magaña did confirm that she was arrested. Sources for the site say that she made it through a Transportation Security Administration checkpoint with a firearm. It was found in her carry-on bag.

She was later released from custody. The two have been married since 1989 and have one child.

Nugent is an outspoken opponent of President Obama’s policies and has made controversial comments regarding the president. He also hosted a short-lived Discovery Channel show titled Gun Country.

The “Cat Scratch Fever” singer recently appeared on the Sportsman Channel in an episode of Pig Man: The Series, reports The Washington Times. The show featured Nugent and Brian “Pig Man” Quaca hunting wild pigs, which have been damaging farmland in Texas.
