Real Housewives of New Jersey couple Teresa and Joe Giudice are expected to appear in court on Wednesday afternoon to enter pleas in their highly publicized legal cases, in which they were indicted on 39 criminal charges.

The Giudices, who are parents two four children, are expected to enter not guilty pleas. They face up to 50 years in jail for their crimes, The AP reports.

As we previously reported, the couple faces jail time for an array of crimes, such as allegedly defrauding the IRS from 2001-2008, tax evasion and conspiring to illegally get mortgages and other loans from numerous banks.

Joe, who’s not a U.S. citizen, could be deported back to his home country of Italy of they’re found guilty. They each posted $500,000 bail last month, USA Today reports.

“Today is a most difficult day for our family. I support Joe, and as a wonderful husband and father I know he wants only the best for our lovely daughters and me," Teresa previously said in a statement through her lawyer. "I am committed to my family and intend to maintain our lives in the best way possible, which includes continuing my career. As a result, I am hopeful that we will resolve this matter with the Government as quickly as possible."
