America’s most popular reality dating show officially has a new star. And this one will make a lot of women swoon. On Monday's "After the Final Rose" special of The Bachelorette, host Chris Harrison made the big announcement that 32-year-old, Juan Pablo Galavis will be vying for love in the new season of The Bachelor.

Juan was a recent contestant on Desiree Hartsocks season of The Bachelorette. His Latin charm, poise, and crazy good looks, made him an easy favorite during her season.

While Desiree is still on her whirlwind romance, trying to find the one, the new bachelor star was chosen through fan popularity and voting. It was between Juan Pablo and other fellow contestant, Zak Wadell, who have been front-runners for the show from the beginning,

Juan Pablo is Venezuelan and is a former professional league soccer player. According to his Twitter, he is now a sports and music consultant. Also, to tug at your heartstrings, he is a single dad to his four-year-old daughter. He will join the ranks of previous single parent Bachelor and Bachelorette stars, Emily Maynard, and Jason Mesnick who is now happily married, thanks to the show.

People reported that Juan sat down with Host Chris Harrison and said "It was hard to make the decision. I'm going to find hopefully the person who is going to join me and my daughter. That's what I'm looking for."

When he was asked about what he's looking for in the new season of The Bachelor, he said, "That mom for [my daughter] Camila and someone I can spend many years [with] together."

What do you think of the new pick? Is there more to Juan Pablo than his accent and good looks?
