This weeks episode of the challenge was all about arguments that had you asking yourself "THAT'S what they're arguing about?" As you can probably tell by the title of the episode (Crossing Jordan), rookie Jordan played a major role in one major argument, and the episode as a whole.
This week started off with Aneesa and Diem. It was made clear that them two were not getting along at all, as Diem was getting angry that Aneesa wasn't doing anything to try and get better. Aneesa claimed that Diem was annoying her because she can run all day, but Aneesa didn't want to feel forced to workout. Diem at one point questioned why she was there, if her partner wasn't going to try. This statement by Diem was completely ridiculous. Just because she can run all day doesn't mean that Aneesa can, and she shouldn't have to. Aneesa knows herself more than anyone, and I'm sure that she wouldn't be in the house all this time if she didn't want to win. This marked the first ridiculous argument of the week, especially when you consider what happened with this team later in the episode.
The challenge this week required both teammates to be tied up together, and blindfolded as they walk through a maze. The catch to this challenge was that they would have shock collars on them that would increase in shock as they get closer to the finish line. Many of the teams went in thinking it would be a simple challenge, many of them found out the hard way that it was not (ask Nany and Jonna).
Leroy and Ty set the order for this week, which was a guys week. Diem and Aneesa were the first girl team to go, they went with Wes and C.T. Wes and C.T. led the way for Diem and Aneesa as both teams finished rather quickly. This made it seem like all of the teams would get through with no problems, but that was certainly not the case. Among all the shrieks, and yells from the pain of electrocution there were some funny moments in this challenge. At one point Leroy and Ty started to go backwards and found themselves back at the starting wall. Also Nany and Jonna struggled throughout the whole thing. They started off slowly and after getting shocked a few times they decided not to move for the rest of their time in the maze. They took up all of the maximum 30 minutes in basically the same spot about five feet from the starting point, something T.J. called "the most pitiful thing" he's ever seen on a challenge. At one point Jonna started crying, which led to ridiculous fight number two. The reason for the fight was that Nany basically couldn't deal with Jonna's whining anymore and told her to stop complaining and to calm down, something Jonna didn't respond very well to. The funny thing about this was that they were in the maze at the same time as Frank and Johnny who performed really well in this challenge.
As for the results of the challenge Diem and Aneesa could thank Wes and C.T. for their victory as they followed the guys voices to the finish. This victory for Aneesa and Diem marked their first and comes at a time where it seemed their team chemistry couldn't be worse, making this a huge win for them. As for the guys Leroy and Ty were clearly the worst team sending them to the jungle. Johnny and Frank won for the guys, narrowly beating out Wes and C.T., and it seems like they are asserting themselves as the team to beat on the guys side.
Back at the house for the deliberation to see who would face off against Leroy and Ty, the girls were talking about their votes when Johnny and Frank decided to interject. At first it seemed pretty innocent, because Johnny was just saying that the girls shouldn't vote in Preston and Knight because it's smart to have a bad team left as a precaution, which was a very good point by him. This talk then took a turn for the worse when Frank started talking and saying that Marlon and Jordan needed to go in for this reason or for that reason, a conversation that Jordan overheard. At this point it is clear that Marlon and Jordan are a strong team and it was just a matter of time before the rookies were sent into the jungle.
Later on Jordan was sitting down and innocently asked Frank "how is the campaign coming?". This question might have been asked to get under Frank's skin, but it was not something that should have caused Frank to flip out the way he did. Frank started stupid fight number three when he said that he never told anyone to vote for Jordan and Marlon (which was a lie) and said that they wouldn't be there if it weren't for him. Frank then goes on to scream in Jordan's face while Jordan kept his composure. While opinions seemed to be split on who was right in this fight, I believe it is clear that Frank was in the wrong here because Jordan overheard a conversation, called Frank out on it, and then Frank started freaking out.
At this point there was little doubt how the deliberation would go considering Johnny has great influence over the majority of the girls. Paula said that she has to make the game as easy as possible for herself, and the best way to do that is to vote the way Johnny wants her to. By a vote of 4-1 Jordan and Marlon were voted into the jungle, Knight and Preston received the other vote. Just when you thought the fighting was over, Jordan was talking to Camilla about how Frank and Johnny influenced the vote. Frank, of course heard the conversation and had to speak up. He spewed out a bunch of lies about how Jordan's name never came out of his mouth (which it did). Frank kept telling Jordan to check his facts about what was said, but to me it seemed like Frank was the only one who needed his facts checked. Even Frank's partner Johnny said that Frank needed to stop butting into other peoples business, and starting unnecessary drama. Johnny was the voice of reason and straight up told Jordan the reason they were going in was because they are a strong team and its their time.
In the last segment before the jungle the mood was lightened when Marlon challenged Leroy to a wrestling match, one that Leroy dominated Marlon in. Also Leroy was making jokes right before the jungle saying Jordan couldn't sleep the night before because he was tossing and turning because he didn't want to go home.
At the jungle we saw a jungle that we have seen before. This is the first time that they have repeated jungles all season. This jungle was Last Chance and it had one teammate playing defense and one playing offense. The offensive guy would have to get through the defensive guy on the other team and get to the bell on the other side before the other team can, to win a heat. First team to win two heats wins. The first heat was about as even as it gets, as both Jordan and Ty broke free of each other at the same time, but Jordan's dive for the bell proved to be the difference as he and Marlon won the first heat. Heat number two was a lot different, as Leroy and Ty seemed to turn it up a notch and they dominated Jordan and Marlon to tie it up at one a piece. This looked like it would be a huge momentum shift that would give Leroy and Ty a huge advantage for the final heat. The final heat was extremely physical as Marlon brought Ty to the ground right by the bell Ty needed to ring. Meanwhile, Leroy had Jordan pinned against the wall and it seemed like it was a matter of time before Ty would ring the bell and win it. But before you knew it Jordan spun and broke free of Leroy and quickly sprinted towards the bell, he dove and rung it while Ty was still being pinned by Marlon, giving Jordan and Marlon a huge upset. This seemed like the perfect jungle for Leroy and Ty as Leroy might be the strongest guy in the house, but it turned out that Marlon and Jordan are still underrated and have a great shot at winning this thing.
During the jungle everyone except for Nany and Jonna was rooting for Leroy and Ty to win. When Jordan and Marlon won, everyone was silent and on edge that they were coming back to the house, especially Frank, who seems a little bit threatened by the rookie team.
We are now down to four guy teams and five girl teams. Frank may have foreshadowed what's to come in the next few weeks when he said, at the very end, that it is time to let his beast out because he has been too complacent up to this point. Johnny and Frank clearly are not on the same page anymore as Johnny saw this as unnecessary negative attention that could sink them in this game. At the beginning of this episode Frank and Johnny seemed to be on top, but by the end of it they looked like they were on the edge of breaking as a team. Next week is a girls elimination week, and barring a major twist we will be down to four teams on each side. The final challenge is getting very close and the action and politics just keeps getting better and better.
